Privacy Policy

The short version
We store your account and the resumes you upload. To parse and tailor a resume we send its contents to a third-party AI provider. We do not sell your data, we do not show your resume to other users, and you can delete a resume or your whole account at any time.
What we collect
- Account details. Your email address and name. If you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name and profile picture from Google — we never see your Google password.
- Resumes you upload. The original file and the structured version we parse out of it: contact details, employment history, education, skills and the text of every bullet.
- What you do in the app. Which jobs you save, hide or mark as applied, which resumes you tailor, and the AI usage each of those calls costs.
- Basic technical data. Standard server logs, and anonymous page and performance analytics from Vercel.
Why we hold it
To run the product. Your resume is parsed so it can be scored against job listings and forked into tailored copies; your job interactions are stored so your board remembers what you have already dealt with; AI usage is recorded so we can see what the service costs to run.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your resume to train any model of our own.
Who else sees it
Running the product means handing some data to other companies. These are the ones that receive it:

We will also disclose data if the law requires it. Nobody else gets it.
Where it lives, and for how long
Account records, job listings and your interactions with them are in PostgreSQL. Parsed resume content and tailoring output are in MongoDB. Short-lived caches are in Redis. All of it runs on managed infrastructure with access restricted to the people who operate the service.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. Deleting a resume removes it and its parsed content. Deleting your account removes the account and everything attached to it. Backups roll off on their own schedule, so a deletion can take up to 30 days to disappear from those.
What you can do
- Delete any resume from your library, at any time.
- Delete your account, which takes the resumes and job history with it.
- Ask for a copy of what we hold about you, or ask us to correct it.
- Use the app without Google — email and password sign-in is the alternative.
Children
The service is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we do with your data, we will update the date at the top and say so in the app before the change takes effect.
